Obituary

John T. Fogarty, 83, of Warren, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home with his family by his side.

Visitation will be held in Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ on Thursday , Jan. 3rd, from 3-7 PM. The Funeral will begin in the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 4th at 9:30 AM and will be followed by the graveside service at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, at 10:30 AM. John was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Long Island, NY before moving to Warren, NJ in 1971.

He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the City College of New York. John then went on to receive his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law then attended New York University School of Law Graduate Division.

He was a member of the New Jersey, New York, and American Bar Associations and was a member of Canoe Brook Country Club.

John worked for Schering-Plough in Madison and Kenilworth for 30 years, retiring in 2001 as Vice-President, Secretary and Associate General Counsel.

He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Ann (nee Weidehaus) of Warren. Loving father of Kathleen Fogarty of Oceanside, NY, Michael (Christina) Fogarty of Warren, Carol (Don) Fogarty-Perrin of Milton, DE, and Terry Fogarty of Warren. Dear brother of Peter Fogarty of Berkeley Heights, NJ, Barbara Augustine of Texas, and Robert Fogarty of Ohio. Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
