Primo Maggio Racioppi, 91, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at home with his family in Warren, NJ, formerly of New Providence, NJ.
Visitation will be held in Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave. Berkeley Heights, NJ on Thursday, Jan. 3rd from 4 to 8 pm . The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 4th at 9:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass in Little Flower Upper Church at 10:00 am. Entombment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
Mr. Racioppi was born and raised in Newark, NJ and lived in New Providence for 58 years before moving to Warren 1 year ago.
After high school he worked for Western Electric as a tool and die maker. Primo was a Sergeant in the US Army serving during WWII. He retired in 1986 from a career in independent sales. He was a member of the VFW, Post 190 of New Providence, American Legion of New Providence/ Berkeley Heights and a faithful member of the New Providence Senior Citizens.
Primo is the beloved husband for 67 years of Mildred (nee Dinella) and loving father of Ronald Racioppi and Marianne (Joseph) Rosamilia. Dear Brother of Aretino (Josephine) Racioppi and proud grandfather of Cara Rosamilia, He is also survived by dear sister-in-laws Margaret D'Emma and Nancy Dinella and dear brother-in-law Donald (Angelina) Dinella and by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Primo and his family would like to especially thank Marta Salamon for her devoted care.
