Jeanette Keyser (nee Fowler) of Harding, NJ, formerly of New Providence, NJ passed away at home on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the age of 74.
Visitation will be held in the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ on Wednesday, January 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9 AM followed by the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church South St., New Providence at 10 AM. Interment will take place in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Passaic Ave., Summit.
Mrs. Keyser was born in Brooklyn, NY. At the age of 17 she entered the convent and professed her vows as a Nun with John the Baptist Order serving as a nun for 10 years. She attended Seton Hall University upon graduation she was a teacher for varies high schools in the New York and New Jersey areas. After her teaching career she took a position at Bell labs in Holmdel where she met and married C. Jack Keyser on June 19, 1971. After Bell Labs she was a substitute teacher at New Providence High School , in 1977 she became a court administrator in Chatham where she completed 30 years of service.
Jeanette's religious affiliation continued as she served as Eucaristic Minister, lector at Our Lady of Peace Church and a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed bowling, her bridge group, Town Club, Lions Club, New Providence Senior Citizens, book club, knitting artistic painting and she loved to travel.
She was the beloved wife of the late C. Jack Keyser. Loving mother of Leslie Day and her husband Richard, Roger Keyser and his wife Terry, Linda Keyser and her husband Luis Nicolas, Jackie Callandriello and her husband Dominick. Dear sister of Tom Fowler and cherished grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 1.
