John Paul Amabile of Pittstown, NJ passed away at home on Saturday, Dec 1, 2012 at the age of 77.
Visitation will be held in Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial 7 Summit Ave. Summit, NJ on Thursday from 10 to 11:00 am followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ
Mr. Amabile was born and raised in Orange, NJ and moved to Springfield, NJ in 1950. He then later moved to Pittstown 14 years ago.
John was a senior officer with the Bureau of NJ State Parole for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
John is survived by his siblings; Audrey De Marco, Thomas Amabile, Joan D'Antonio and Rosemarie De Hart as well as nurmerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his loving partner, Kenneth Rogers.
