John J. Minetti, Sr., 92, of West Orange passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 3rd from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Paul Ippolito Memorial, 252-256 Henry Street, Orange, NJ, 07050. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4th at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Orange, NJ. The interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
John was born in Orange, NJ and lived in East Orange, NJ before moving to West Orange, NJ 38 years ago. He served in the US Marines during WWII. John was the owner and operator of Minetti's Gulf Service Station in Orange for over 60 years.
John is the beloved husband of Margaret (nee Ferrara). Loving father of Carol Sciarello and husband, Anthony, Barbara Missaggia and husband, Domenick and John J. Minetti and his fiancé, Dalyce. Dear brother of Elizabeth Recca and the late Joseph Minetti. John is the proud grandfather of Anthony, Jennifer, Domenick, Jeana, Benjamin and John, also survived by 1 great grandson, D.J.
