Rose A. Di Benedetto (nee De Santis) of New Providence, NJ, formerly of Orange and West Orange, NJ, passed away on November 15, 2012 at the age of 87.
Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit on Sunday, Nov. 18th from 2-6 PM. The funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 19th beginning at 9 AM in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church, New Providence at 10 AM. Mrs. Di Benedetto was born and raised in Orange, NJ and lived in West Orange for 35 years before settling in New Providence for the past 8 years.
Rose was an active member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church in West Orange for many years and was well known in Manor Care Nursing Home in New Providence as an active participant in many functions and groups throughout the facility.
She is the beloved wife of the late Arsenio "Moose" Di Benedetto; loving mother of John Di Benedetto and his wife Beth of New Providence and the late Matilda Di Meo; dear sister of Joseph De Santis of Caldwell and the late Marguerite De Santis, M.D. ; cherished grandmother of Jamie, Nicholas, Jason and Joseph.
