Carmela Griscti (nee Camelleri) of Warren, NJ passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the age of 97.
Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial 646 Springfield Ave. Berkeley Heights, NJ on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Wed. at 9:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church, New Providence at 10:00 am. Internment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Griscti was born in Malta, lived most of her life in Newark, NJ before moving to New Providence for 10 years and the last 3 years in Warren, NJ.
She was a seamstress for the bridal department of Bamberger's, Newark, NJ for years and later she was self employed until her retirement 35 years ago.
Carmela was the widow of the late John Griscti and is survived by her loving children; Joseph, Adrianna Torsiello, Frank, John and the late Charles. She was pre-deceased by her siblings the late Joseph, Mary, Katherine and Grace. Carmela was most proud of her devoted 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Griscti was a member of the New Providence Senior Citizens and Woman's Club of Montclair.
