NANCY MARIE TENORE WRIGHT
AGE 52 CHATHAM TOWNSHIP

Nancy Marie (Tenore) Wright, age 52 of Chatham Township, New Jersey died on June 20, 2011 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Born in Dallas, Texas August 20, 1958 and raised in Hillsborough, NJ. She resided in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey for many years before moving to Chatham Township 7 years ago.

A 1976 graduate of Hillsborough High School, Nancy received a BM degree in Music, studying with Judith Nicosia as a voice performance major at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey in 1980. She continued her voice studies at Manhattan School of Music in New York City where she met her husband Gerald. Nancy performed with the select 40 voice Westminster Choir under the direction of Joseph Flummerfelt and with this group performed with the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Zubin Mehta. She also performed in the Festival of Two Worlds in Charleston, North Carolina and the Spoleto Opera Festival with composer/director Gian Carlo Menotti in Spoleto, Italy for two years while at Westminster.

Nancy was an owner of Rita Ford Music Boxes both in New York City and the Mall at Short Hills. She was also the co-owner in partnership with her husband, Gerry, of The Little Red Cat, a special and unique children's toy store in Basking Ridge.

The joy of her life was her family and she touched the hearts of all who knew her. Nancy was the beloved wife of Gerald T. Wright of Chatham for 28 years. Devoted mother of Christopher and Emily Wright of Chatham. Devoted daughter of Joseph Tenore and Diane (Donohue) Tenore of Hillsborough. Cherished sister of Adele Tenore Pilato and her husband Louis Pilato II, of Flemington. Loving daughter-in-law of Rosemarie (Inzerille) Wright of New York and the Late Robert Wright. Dear sister-in-law of Kenneth Wright and his wife, Doreen, and Denise Martin and her husband, John, all of New York. Adored Aunt of Anthony Pilato, Cooper, Parker and Cassandra Wright, Jennifer Mungeer and Robert, Michelle and John Colin Martin.

The visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Hts., NJ Wednesday, June 22 from 6 –9 pm, Thursday, June 23 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the funeral home on Friday, June 24 at 10:30 AM. Committal service is private.
