Lina DiGirolomo (nee Ding) of Summit, NJ passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2013 at the age of 89.
Visiting will be held in the Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit on Friday, Feb. 1st from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2nd from 10-11 AM in the funeral home immediately followed by the interment in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Mrs. DiGirolomo was born in Germany and has lived in Summit for over 70 years.
Lina and her husband Louis were well known and loved for their charitable work through numerous organizations in the community. She was also a member of the Summit Rescue Squad for ten years and was active with the Golden Age Club and Busy Bees of Summit.
She is the beloved wife of the late Louis DiGirolomo; loving mother of Louis DiGirolomo of FL, Marie DiGirolomo of PA and Susan DeRomo of Berkeley Heights; dear sister of the late William and Alfred Ding; cherished grandmother of Tony, Eddie, Louis, Lorielle and Michael; also survived by 4 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Angelina Anthony and Pat Ding.
